Ohio Wesleyan University freshman Sierra Wright (Loudonville) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 17, it was announced by the NCAC.
Wright, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's track & field team, was named Women's Sprinter/Hurdler of the Week.
Wright was part of the Ohio Wesleyan 800-meter relay team that won an All-Ohio title at the All-Ohio Division III championship meet on Saturday, helping Ohio Wesleyan finish third in the team standings. She helped the 800-meter relay team break the tape in 1:46.92, earned All-Ohio honors as part of the Bishops' third-place 1600-meter relay team, and added a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter dash.
