Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Meigan Day (Port Clinton) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of April 14, it was announced by the NCAC.

Day, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's track & field team, was named Women's Field Event Performer of the Week.

Day won the javelin at the All-Ohio Division III championship meet on Saturday, helping Ohio Wesleyan to a second-place finish in the team standings.  Her throw of 132-3 set an All-Ohio record and broke the school record of 128-11 set by Julie Bredenbeck in 1982.  Day also finished eighth in the heptathlon.
