Ohio Wesleyan University senior Matt Hunter (Lexington, Mass.) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of March 2, it was announced by the NCAC.

Hunter, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan men's track & field team, was named Men's Track & Field Player of the Week.

Hunter won the heptathlon at the NCAC combined events competition on Saturday and Sunday.  He compiled 4877 points to take the NCAC heptathlon title for the third consecutive year.  Hunter had the meet's best showings in the 60-meter dash (:07.10) and the 60-meter hurdles (:08.28).  He was second overall in the long jump (20-8) and shot put (36-0) and third overall in the pole vault (13-4 1/4) and high jump (5-9 1/4).
