Ohio Wesleyan University freshman Ashley Day (Plain City/Jonathan Alder) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of March 16, it was announced by the NCAC.
Day, an outfielder on the Ohio Wesleyan softball team, was named Softball Player of the Week.
Batting in the leadoff spot, Day hit safely in all 10 games of the Battling Bishops' spring trip, helping the team to a 7-3 record. Day collected 7 multiple-hit games on the trip, highlighted by a 2-RBI, 2-hit effort in Ohio Wesleyan's 9-6 win over 15th-ranked Montclair State. She batted .559 on the week with 8 runs scored and 5 RBI.
