Ohio Wesleyan University senior John Umbach (Montclair, N.J.) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of April 13, it was announced by the NCAC.
Umbach, an attacker on the Ohio Wesleyan men's lacrosse team, was named Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week.
Umbach scored the game-winning goal with :19 remaining to lift third-ranked Ohio Wesleyan over then-18th-ranked Denison, 9-8, in North Coast Athletic Conference action. Umbach finished with 2 goals in the contest. Earlier in the week, Umbach put the Bishops on the scoreboard just :06 into the game and Ohio Wesleyan went on to defeat Wabash by a score of 25-1. On the week, Umbach finished with 3 goals and an assist.
