Ohio Wesleyan University senior Brian Schaefer (Chatham, N.J.) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 6, it was announced by the NCAC.
Schaefer, a forward on the Ohio Wesleyan men's soccer team, was named Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
Schaefer had a goal and an assist in Ohio Wesleyan's 5-0 non-conference win over Capital on Wednesday. He assisted the game-winner in the 16th minute and converted a second-half penalty kick. He then scored all 3 Ohio Wesleyan goals in a 3-0 win at Wabash on Saturday, putting the Bishops on the scoreboard in the eighth minute, adding a goal in the 38th minute, and completing the hat trick with a goal in the 53rd minute. The win kept Ohio Wesleyan undefeated in NCAC competition.
