Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Iris Anderson (Elk Grove, Calif./Christian Brothers) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 6, it was announced by the NCAC.
Anderson, an outside hitter on the Ohio Wesleyan volleyball team, was named Volleyball Player of the Week.
Anderson turned in a pair of double-digit performances in kills as Ohio Wesleyan posted a pair of NCAC wins last week. She collected 14 kills in a 3-0 win over Kenyon on Wednesday, with only 2 errors in 30 attempts for an attack percentage of .400, and added 12 digs. In a 3-0 win at Allegheny, she led the Bishops with 17 kills, with only 3 errors in 41 attempts for a .341 attack percentage, and also contributed 11 digs. The 2 wins increased Ohio Wesleyan's current winning streak to a school-record 19 wins.
