Ohio Wesleyan University junior Phoenix Neitzelt (Delaware/Hayes) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 26, it was announced by the NCAC.
Neitzelt, a midfielder on the Ohio Wesleyan men's soccer team, was named Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
Neitzelt scored on both shots he took last week. His goal in the 50th minute gave the Bishops a 2-1 lead at DePauw on Tuesday, a game that Ohio Wesleyan would eventually win, 3-2. He then scored the game's only goal at Oberlin on Saturday, tallying in the 67th minute on a header after a free kick. With the 2 wins, Ohio Wesleyan holds first place in the NCAC standings heading into the final week of the regular season.
