Ohio Wesleyan University junior Gary Brodek (Parma/Valley Forge) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 26, it was announced by the NCAC.
Brodek, a defensive end on the Ohio Wesleyan football team, was named Football Defensive Player of the Week. This is his second NCAC Player of the Week selection this season.
Brodek recorded 2 sacks on DePauw's final possession, including a sack that ended the last-minute threat, as Ohio Wesleyan defeated DePauw, 27-22, on Saturday to hand the Tigers their first loss of the season. Brodek finished with 6 tackles, including 2½ sacks for a loss of 22 yards.
