Ohio Wesleyan University senior Ahmed Abdel Halim (Toledo/Ottawa Hills) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 1, it was announced by the NCAC.

Abdel Halim, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan men's track & field team, was named Men's Field Event Performer of the Week.

Abdel Halim won the triple jump at the Spire Midwest Indoor Track & Field Open, turning in an effort of 47-7¾ to defeat 25 competitors from Division I, Division II, Division III, and Canadian institutions.  He also finished 10th in the long jump with a leap of 21-1¼.
