Ohio Wesleyan University senior Aaron Caputo (Strongsville) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of March 21, it was announced by the NCAC.
Caputo, a catcher on the Ohio Wesleyan baseball team, was named Baseball Player of the Week.
Caputo doubled home the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Ohio Wesleyan a 10-9 win over Otterbein on Wednesday. He also drilled a solo homer in the bottom of the first and finished the game at 3-for-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. In the opener of a non-conference doubleheader against Transylvania on Saturday, Caputo scored 4 runs and went 3-for-4 to help the Bishops to a 19-2 win. On the week, he was 6-for-12 with 3 doubles, 2 home runs, 5 RBI, and 7 runs scored.
