Ohio Wesleyan University senior Sarah Flint (Westerville/St. Francis DeSales) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of May 2, it was announced by the NCAC.
Flint, a first baseman-pitcher on the Ohio Wesleyan softball team, was named Softball Player of the Week.
Flint went 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI in the nightcap of an NCAC doubleheader against Oberlin after firing a 6-hit, complete-game victory in the opener. In an NCAC doubleheader at Allegheny on Friday, she went 6-for-9 with 7 RBI and 4 runs scored, delivering a 2-run single and an RBI double in the opener and an RBI single and a 2-run double in the nightcap as Ohio Wesleyan completed a sweep to clinch a spot in the NCAC tournament. On the week, she batted .571 (8-for-14) with 8 RBI as the Bishops went 4-0.
