Ohio Wesleyan University freshman Antonio Romanelli (Lewis Center/St. Francis DeSales) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 5, it was announced by the NCAC.

Romanelli, a midfielder on the Ohio Wesleyan men's soccer team, was named Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

Romanelli set up Ohio Wesleyan's first goal and then scored the game-winner during the second overtime period to give the 18th-ranked Bishops a 2-1 win over Hope in the first round of the annual Fred Myers Invitational on Friday.  He then set up the go-ahead goal midway through the second half as Ohio Wesleyan posted a 2-1 win over fourth-ranked Calvin in the championship game of the Fred Myers Invitational.  On the week, he collected a goal and 2 assists as the Bishops opened their season with a pair of wins.
