Ohio Wesleyan University junior Emily Amburgey (Germantown/Preble Shawnee) was named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week in women's track & field for the week of Feb. 27, it was announced by the NCAC.

Amburgey was named Women's Field Event Performer of the Week.

Amburgey won the NCAC pentathlon competition with a total of 2732 points at the NCAC combined events meet on Sunday.  She finished the 60-meter hurdles in :09.69, tying for third overall; cleared 5-2½ in the high jump to post the meet's best effort; threw the shot 23-4¾ to tie for fifth overall; jumped 15-2¼ to rank third in the shot put; and clocked a 2:52.95 in the 800-meter run.
