Ohio Wesleyan University senior Sarah Fowler (Mount Vernon/Fredericktown) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 17, it was announced by the NCAC.

Fowler, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's cross country team, was named Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Fowler finished sixth overall at the Interregional Border Battle, hosted by Rowan University on Saturday in Glassboro, N.J.  She completed the 6000-meter course in 21:02.7.  Ohio Wesleyan finished 23rd among a field of 45 teams that included 12 teams that were ranked in the last week's United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division III poll.
