Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Chris Ruiyantoro (San Jose, Calif./Independence) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 21, it was announced by the NCAC.
Ruiyantoro, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan men's swimming & diving team, was named Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week.
Ruiyantoro won 3 events and helped 3 relay teams to first-place finishes as Ohio Wesleyan finished second at the Corbiere-Merion Invitational, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday and Sunday. Ruiyantoro recorded wins in the 100 butterfly in :52.85, the 100 backstroke in :53.08, and the 200 backstroke in 1:57.67. He also led off the 200 medley relay team, helping that foursome win the event in 1:38.36, and was part of the Bishops' first-place 400 medley relay team, which won in 3:34.64, and the first-place 200 freestyle relay team, which won in 1:27.30.
