Ohio Wesleyan University senior Sarah Fowler (Mount Vernon/Fredericktown) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 30, it was announced by the NCAC.
Fowler, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's track & field team, was named Women's Distance Athlete of the Week.
Fowler placed third in the 3000-meter run at the Spire Midwest Track & Field Open on Saturday. She finished in 9:52.80 and was the top Division III runner in the event. The meet, which attracted competitors from NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA institutions, was not scored.
