Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Jack Hibbard (Valparaiso, Ind./Wheeler) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of March 20, it was announced by the NCAC.
Hibbard, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan men's tennis team, was named Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
Hibbard compiled a 4-1 record in singles play and a 3-1 mark in doubles during Ohio Wesleyan's spring trip. He was a double winner in a 7-2 win over regionally-ranked McMurry, helping the Bishop No. 3 doubles team to an 8-2 win and winning by scores of 6-3, 6-0 at No. 5 singles. Hibbard was a double winner in a 5-4 win over Scranton, helping the No. 2 doubles team to an 8-2 win and posting a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles. He was a double winner in a 7-2 win over Cornell (Iowa), helping the No. 3 doubles team to an 8-3 win and recording a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles. He won by scores of 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles in a 9-0 sweep of Illinois Wesleyan.
