Ohio Wesleyan senior Iris Anderson (Elk Grove, Calif./Christian Brothers) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 18, it was announced by the NCAC.
Anderson, an outside hitter on the Ohio Wesleyan volleyball team, was named Volleyball Player of the Week.
Anderson recorded 3 consecutive double-digit performances in kills to lead Ohio Wesleyan to the team title at its Bishops Invitational on Friday and Saturday. She opened the tournament with 10 kills and a team-high 19 digs in a 3-1 win over Grove City on Friday. In a 3-0 win over Transylvania on Saturday, Anderson led the Bishops with 15 kills and 12 digs. She followed that with a match-high 18 kills in a 3-0 win over Adrian. On the weekend, Anderson averaged 4.30 kills per set with a .344 attack percentage, and contributed an average of 3.90 digs per set. She was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
