Ohio Wesleyan University freshman Jack Funderburg (Westerville/Central) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 16, it was announced by the NCAC.
Funderburg, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan men's golf team, was named Men's Golfer of the Week.
Funderburg won medalist honors at the NCAC Fall Preview on Sunday and Monday, helping the Bishops to a third-place finish in the team standings. Funderburg carded a 32 over his final 9 holes, including birdies on the final 2 holes, to finish with a 1-under-par 71 on Monday and an even-par 144 for the tournament to win medalist honors by 3 shots.
