Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Sarah Bechtel (Bellefontaine) was named North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Field Performer of the Week for the week of April 9, it was announced by the NCAC.

Bechtel set a school record in helping the Ohio Wesleyan women's track & field team win the team title at the Marv Frye Invitational, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan.  Bechtel won the pole vault by clearing 12-1½, eclipsing the mark of 11-7¾ she set last year.
