Ohio Wesleyan University freshman Madi Drabick (Mount Vernon) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of March 19, it was announced by the NCAC.
Drabick, a pitcher-infielder on the Ohio Wesleyan softball team, was named Softball Player of the Week.
Drabick helped slug the Bishops to 5 straight wins as Ohio Wesleyan finished its spring trip with a 7-3 record. She started the trip by going 3-for-3 in her collegiate debut against Anderson. Drabick then tied the school record with 4 hits in a 17-6 win over Fitchburg State. She smashed a home run and drove in 3 runs in a 10-7 win over Concordia. Drabick drove in 5 runs and went 3-for-3 in a 9-2 win over Roger Williams. She saved her best outing for last, again tying the school record for hits by going 4-for-4 with 2 doubles, a home run, and 5 RBI in a 10-2 win over Washington & Jefferson. On the week, she went 18-for-37 with 3 doubles, 3 home runs, 18 RBI, 14 runs scored, and 30 total bases for a slugging percentage of .811.
