Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Dani Haley (Maumee/Anthony Wayne) was named North Coast Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 9, it was announced by the NCAC.
Haley fired a 10-inning, 6-hit shutout as Ohio Wesleyan defeated 10th-ranked DePauw, 1-0, on Wednesday. She struck out 6 and walked 4, and also collected 2 hits to help her own cause. Haley then tossed a 5-hit shutout at Kenyon in a 3-0 Bishop win, striking out 6 and walking one. On the week, she pitched 19.0 scoreless innings, extending her school-record string of consecutive shutout innings to 26.0.
