Whittekind Named North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Week of Oct. 1
Ohio Wesleyan University junior Brady Whittekind (Hilliard/Bradley) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 1, it was announced by the NCAC.
Whittekind, a back on the Ohio Wesleyan men's soccer team, was named Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
In Ohio Wesleyan's 3-0 win over Capital on Wednesday, Whittekind scored an insurance goal and helped the Battling Bishop defense limit the Crusaders -- who had entered the game averaging nearly 4 goals per game -- to 8 shots, none of them on goal. He then scored the game-winner in the 69th minute in Ohio Wesleyan's 2-1 win over Wooster on Saturday, keeping the Bishops unbeaten in NCAC play.
