As a team our goal is to reach the conference tournament and compete for an NCAC championship...
Meet the Bishops: Get to know a little about Cole Antle of the Ohio Wesleyan baseball team.
Class Year: 2021
Major(s): Management Economics
How/Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
I chose Ohio Wesleyan because of the great reputation that is attached to this school and the history behind this school. When I came on my visit, I was very surprised to walk around and see a nice campus with great people and teachers.
How/Why did you choose your major?
All of my life, I have wanted to be an entrepreneur, so coming in I already knew what I wanted to do. OWU has a great economics department so it was really a no-brainer.
Why did you choose to compete in sports at Ohio Wesleyan?
Coming out of high school, I had a lot of contact with Coach Mott and saw him as a coach I would want to compete for. Historically, the baseball team has a track record of success. So when deciding to go here, I wanted to be a part of the successful history that Ohio Wesleyan baseball has had for years and contribute to it.
What is your number one goal, personal or team, for this season?
As a team our goal is to reach the conference tournament and compete for an NCAC championship. This year, we have worked tremendously hard as a team and we all have great relationships with one another. Throughout the team, we have had great leadership from upperclassmen on the team and a lot of experienced guys on the team so theres no reason why we can't get there.
If you could visit another time, when would it be and why?
I would go back to ancient Rome and Greece because growing up, that has always fascinated me. To be able to see how much different life was back then and see how far we have come since then would be really cool to me.
