Ohio Wesleyan University senior Megan Weissenberger (Toledo/Central Catholic) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 4, it was announced by the NCAC.
Weissenberger was named Volleyball Player of the Week.
Weissenberger, an outside hitter, helped the Bishops win their first 3 matches of the season, the team's longest season-opening winning streak since 2006. She had a team-high 9 kills in a 3-0 win over Earlham, and recorded consecutive 10-kill performances in 3-0 wins over Wilmington and Manchester. Weissenberger finished the week with 10 kills and a team-best 18 digs in a 3-1 loss to Grove City. On the week, she compiled 39 kills, 39 digs and 4 blocks.
