Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Miles MacKenzie (Denver, Colo./East) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 17, it was announced by the NCAC.
MacKenzie was named Football Offensive Player of the Week.
MacKenzie, a kicker, drilled field goals of 24, 42, 36, 33, and 26 yards in Ohio Wesleyan's 29-17 win at Oberlin on Saturday. His 5 field goals broke the school record of 4 set by Pete Billington at Muskingum on Oct. 19, 1968, as well as the North Coast Athletic Conference record of 4 accomplished thrice. His 17 points scored by kicking broke the school record of 13 set by Billington at Muskingum on Oct. 19, 1968, along with the NCAC record of 16 accomplished twice. Ohio Wesleyan is off to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2002.
