Ohio Wesleyan University senior Nathan Kafity (Huron/Lake Ridge Academy) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 1, it was announced by the NCAC.

Kafity was named Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Kafity led Ohio Wesleyan at the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Cross Country championship meet on Saturday.  He finished 61st overall, completing the 8000-meter course in 25:57.96. He finished eighth among NCAA Division III runners and led all NCAC runners in the meet.  Ohio Wesleyan finished 19th of 44 teams in the overall standings, and was fourth among the 22 NCAA Division III schools competing in the meet.
