Ohio Wesleyan University senior Tyler Sheetz (Eighty Four, Pa./Peters Township) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 5, it was announced by the NCAC.
Sheetz was named Football Defensive Player of the Week.
Sheetz, a linebacker, led the Bishop defense in Ohio Wesleyan's 34-7 win over Allegheny on Saturday. Sheetz compiled 11 tackles, including a sack and 2 for loss, and broke up a pass. The 7 points allowed by Ohio Wesleyan was the fewest ever yielded to Allegheny in the 28-game series. Ohio Wesleyan remains in a 3-way tie for first place in the NCAC, joining Wittenberg and Kenyon at 5-1 in conference play heading into the final week of the regular season.
