...OWU also gave me the opportunity to continue playing both soccer and lacrosse.

Name:  Tiffany Trinh

Class year:  2026

Major:  Biochemistry (with microbiology minor)

Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
I chose OWU because of the size of the campus and being close to home.  OWU also gave me the opportunity to continue playing both soccer and lacrosse.

Why did you choose your major?
I have always had an interest in science and knew I wanted to do something in the pharmaceutical field.

Why did you choose to compete in sports at Ohio Wesleyan?
I am able to balance school while being able to play at a competitive level.

Which is your favorite sport?
Soccer

What are your strengths as an athlete (as an individual)?
One of my strengths is my high knowledge of the game and having good vision on the field.  I can think multiple steps ahead of the current play and what I want to do with the ball before I get it.

What is your number one goal, personal or team, for this season?
Win the NCAC tournament and make it into the NCAA tournament.

What athletic or academic achievement/accomplishment are you most proud of?  What did you do to put yourself in position to achieve that?
Earning midfield first-team All-NCAC, it was a reward (for) the time I spent during the summer to get better and hard work throughout the season.

Is there a specific coach or teammate who has helped you get where you are?
My teammates, especially my fellow midfielders, play a big role in where I am, they challenge me every day and make practice a great environment.  Also, Coach (Pat) Ferguson and Coach (Paige) Messersmith put me in a position to help me raise my level of play.

What is your theme song?
Pokémon Theme Song

What is your ideal travel destination?
Alaska.  I want to experience the Northern Lights and scenery in person.

What advice would you give to someone considering becoming a student-athlete?
Stay consistent, hold yourself to high standards, and manage your time well -- success comes with time.

What is your favorite season and why?
My favorite season is summer because it has the best weather and I get to spend lots of time with my family and friends.
