Ohio Wesleyan University senior Jonathan Valentine (Franklin) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 9, it was announced by the NCAC.

Valentine, a defensive end, was named Football Defensive Player of the Week.

Valentine racked up 3 sacks and 3½ tackles for loss among his 6 tackles in leading the Bishop defense in a 37-20 win over Bluffton in Ohio Wesleyan's season opener.
