Ohio Wesleyan defeated Trine during the first night of the Bluffton Sommer Center Spiketacular, hosted by Bluffton University on Friday in Bluffton.

The Bishops won the match by scores of 25-16, 26-24, 25-23.

Junior outside hitter Eliza Richardson (Lakewood) led Ohio Wesleyan with 12 kills.  Sophomore setter Abby Thierauf (Cincinnati/Milford) collected 33 assists.  Freshman middle blocker Claire Solberg (Huron) recorded 3 blocks.  Sophomore defensive specialist Neah White (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) finished with a team-high 15 digs.

The Bluffton Sommer Center Spiketacular continues on Saturday, when Ohio Wesleyan will face Bluffton and Heidelberg.
