Bishops Come Up Short Against DePauw

DELAWARE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's soccer team was back at home on Saturday afternoon as they continued conference play against DePauw, unfortunately falling short following a first half goal from the Tigers.

The Bishops drop to 3-5-6 (0-1-2 NCAC) on the season while DePauw advances to 8-5-1 (2-2-0 NCAC).

DePauw broke the scoreless tie with a goal in the 34th minute to take a first half lead. Ohio Wesleyan nearly equalized in the second half, earning three corners and getting several opportunities inside the box, but the Tiger defense held strong through to the final whistle and left with a 1-0 result.

THE NUMBERS
Ohio Wesleyan was outshot 7-5 and 5-0 in shots on goal.

Jordyn Adams (2 SH), Beatrice Douglas-Arnold (1 SH), Kaia Vorenkamp (1 SH) led the offensive for OWU

Natalie Ryan (3-5-6) played the full 90 minutes, making four saves.
