DELAWARE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's soccer team was back at Roy Rike Field on Wednesday night as they played host to Oberlin in their penultimate home match of the season. The Battling Bishops were behind for much of the night, but a late equalizer led to a 1-1 tie.
OWU is now 3-5-7 on the season and still in search of their first conference win at 0-1-3. Oberlin is now 3-7-4, also winless in the NCAC at 0-3-1.
Oberlin got on the board relatively early, scoring in the 21st minute. From there, despite Ohio Wesleyan's best efforts, the game reached a standstill at 1-0 for the following 64 minutes. Finally, in the 85th minute, the Red and Black came back to even the score courtesy of
Halle Dacek. OWU even had a few looks to pull ahead in the waning moments, but they all ended up being unlucky, leaving a 1-1 result.
