Bishops Drop Road Contest at John Carroll

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's soccer team hit the road on Saturday as they faced John Carroll. In the end, the Battling Bishops would fall 2-0 after allowing two first half goals.

The Bishops drop to 3-6-7 and 0-2-3 in the NCAC. John Carroll rises to 10-4-1, 4-1-0 in conference play.

JCU took an early lead with a goal in the third minute before adding another in the 19th minute. On the other side, OWU had five chances in the first half and four in the second half, but all would come up empty, leaving a 2-0 result for the hosts.

THE NUMBERS
Ohio Wesleyan had the upper hand in terms of shot attempts, 9-3 overall and 4-3 in shots on goal.

Avery Curtin (2 SH, 1 SOG), Taylor Noszka (2 SH, 1 SOG), Kaia Vorenkamp (1 SH, 1 SOG), Halle Dacek (1 SH, 1 SOG), and Paige Neal (2 SH) accounted for the offensive chances for OWU.

Natalie Ryan (3-6-7) spent the night in goal, making one save.
