Bishops Close Out Home Schedule with Draw

DELAWARE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's soccer team hosted Kenyon on Tuesday night for their last home contest of the regular season. The Battling Bishops got up early, scoring in the first ten minutes, however an Owl goal just before the half left the game at a standstill, ending in a 1-1 draw.

OWU moves to 3-6-8 overall and 0-2-4 in the NCAC. Kenyon moves to 9-2-5, 3-1-2 in conference play.

Ohio Wesleyan started the scoring early, getting on the board in just the seventh minute after Ava Bruns found Taylor Noszka on the back side of the box. Noszka neatly slotted the ball into the left side of the net for a 1-0 lead. The Bishops kept Kenyon at bay until the 42nd minute when the Owls equalized off of a corner.

The game would stay 1-1 throughout the second half despite the best efforts of both sides, ending in a draw.
