DELAWARE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's swimming and diving team hosted Case Western Reserve on Saturday afternoon, ultimately falling 157-116.
INDIVIDUALS
MacKenzie Carter won all three of her individual events, taking the 50 yard backstroke with a 27.37, the 50 yard freestyle with a 25.19, and the 50 yard butterfly with a 27.10.
Maddie Hoyt took both of her individual events, winning the 50 yard backstroke at 32.89 and the 100 yard backstroke at 1:12.93.
August Lemert had a second place finish in the 200 yard freestyle and third place finishes in both the 100 yard freestyle and the 50 yard butterfly, swimming a 2:03.10 in the 200 free, a 57.29 in the 100 free, and a 28.87 in the 50 fly.
Anna Lance secured third in both the 50 yard breaststroke and the 400 yard individual medley with times of 35.74 and 5:22.35. She also took fourth in the 100 yard breaststroke at 1:21.54.
Ellie Cady had a third place finish in the 50 yard freestyle with fourth place finishes in both the 50 yard backstroke and the 100 yard freestyle, swimming a 27.76 in the 50 free, a 31.50 in the 50 back, and a 1:00.63 in the 100 free.
Anna Haines nabbed third in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:14.15, fourth in the 50 yard breaststroke at 37.97, and sixth in the 50 yard butterfly at 31.96.
Maria Thibodeaux was third in the 100 yard backstroke at 1:12.74, fourth in the 50 yard freestyle at 29.02, and sixth in the 100 yard breaststroke at 1:27.99.
Lillian Borofsky finished third in the 1000 yard freestyle with a 13:21.91, fifth in the 500 yard freestyle with a 6:35.59, and eighth in the 50 yard butterfly with a 37.08.
Emilie Ott was second in one meter diving with a final score of 122.70.
RELAYS
Ohio Wesleyan won the 200 yard medley relay as the team of
MacKenzie Carter,
Maddie Hoyt,
Anna Lance, and
August Lemert posted a time of 1:53.87
The Red and Black took third and fifth in the 200 yard freestyle relay, led by
Zoie Buck,
Avery Hudak,
Ellie Cady, and
Maria Thibodeaux with a time of 1:57.06.
