CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Tuesday morning, the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced Ohio Wesleyan University junior
Zoe Ward as the conference's Athlete of the Week for women's cross country. This is Ward's third time earning the award and first this season.
Ward finished first at the OWU Invitational on Friday with a season-best time of 21:52.1, leading the Battling Bishops to a team win as well with a meet-low of 30 points. So far this season, she has helped the Bishops to two team victories at the OWU Invitational and the Port Kenyon Opener, finishing first and second in those meets respectively.
Ward and OWU will be back on the course on October 18th as they head to Waterford, Connecticut for the Connecticut College Invitational starting at 10 a.m.
Ward is the second NCAC Athlete of the Week honoree for Ohio Wesleyan this academic year.
