Douglas-Arnold Doubles Up as Bishops Beat BW, 3-0

DELAWARE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's soccer team continued their homestand on Tuesday night, hosting Baldwin Wallace. Beatrice Douglas-Arnold scored twice to lead the Bishops to a 3-0 shutout win.

OWU remains undefeated at home with a 2-0-1 record at Roy Rike Field, grabbing their third win overall at 3-1-1. Baldwin Wallace is now 0-3-2.

The Red and Black first got on the board in the 21st minute when Caroline Prahst sent a long pass into the box to find Jazlyn Brooker, who tapped it past the oncoming keeper. Ohio Wesleyan then added another first half goal in the 27th minute, with Tiffany Trinh taking a corner kick that made its way through the blender in the box to find the foot of Douglas-Arnold on the back post.

The Battling Bishops tallied another in the 70th minute that was almost the same as the second goal, with Trinh again taking a corner and sending it to Douglas-Arnold, though this time she used her head instead of her foot to find the back of the net. OWU would carry their three-goal lead to the final whistle, winning 3-0 and securing their third shutout of the season.
