CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Tuesday morning, the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore middle-distance runner
Jacob Blubaugh as the NCAC Athlete of the Week for men's track & field distance category. Blubaugh is the first NCAC Athlete of the Week for men's track & field this season.
Blubaugh secured 10 points for the Battling Bishops with a win in the 3000 meter run at Muskie Meet #1 hosted by Muskingum on Saturday, turning in a time of 8:58.82. The Bishops went on to take first in the 16-team field with 107 points.
Blubaugh and the Red and Black will be back on the track on Saturday as they host the OWU Team Challenge at Gordon Field House.
Blubaugh's is the 12th NCAC Athlete of the Week selection for Ohio Wesleyan this academic year.
