CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Tuesday morning, the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced its Athlete of the Week awards for the past week of competition. Representing Ohio Wesleyan University was junior forward Macy Miller from women's basketball and sophomore sprinter Kennedy Elfers from women's track & field.

Miller's is her fourth Athlete of the Week award this season, as well as the fourth for women's basketball. She has now won three of the four weekly awards for the month of January. Elfers' is her first Athlete of the Week award of the year, and the first for women's track & field.

Miller and the women's basketball team extended their win streak to 15 games over the past week, beating Kenyon 55-50 on Wednesday and then mounting a massive comeback to topple No. 14/8 Denison 72-65. She led the Bishops with double-doubles in both games, recording 18 points with 15 rebounds against Kenyon, and then 24 points with 15 rebounds against Denison. All-in-all, Miller averaged 21 points and 15 rebounds while adding a total of five blocks, two assists, and one steal, shooting 50.0% from the field and 75.0% from the free throw line.

Miller and the Battling Bishops are now 16-1 and 7-0 in the NCAC, ranked 11th by the WBCA, 8th by D3hoops.com, and 4th in the NCAA Power Index. The Red and Black will be back in action on Saturday as they face Oberlin on the road at 2 p.m.

Elfers finished first in three events on Saturday as she led the women's track & field team to a meet win at the OWU Team Challenge. Individually, she took the top spot in the 400 meter dash and the 200 meter dash, posting times of 1:01.07 and 26.73. Elfers also earned a first place finish as a member of the 4x200 meter relay that turned in a time of 1:45.51.

Elfers and OWU will be back on the track on Saturday as they head to the Steamer Showcase hosted by Wittenberg in Springfield.

Miller and Elfers are the 13th and 14th NCAC Athlete of the Week selections for Ohio Wesleyan this academic year.
