CLEVELAND, Ohio – The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced Tuesday morning its NCAC Athletes of the Week for the previous week of competition. Ohio Wesleyan University senior goalkeeper
Andrew Davison was selected as the conference's player of the week for men's soccer. It is his first NCAC award and the first for the men's soccer program this season.
Davison kept a clean net through 180 minutes of play over the past week, leading the Bishops to two 1-0 wins over Wabash and Wooster and helping OWU to their first 2-0-0 start to conference play since the 2021 season.
On Wednesday against Wabash, Davison recorded his first complete game in the Red and Black as well as his first shutout for the Battling Bishops, making two saves. He followed that with a season-high eight-save performance against Wooster on Saturday as he notched a second complete-game shutout.
Davison and Ohio Wesleyan look to remain undefeated in the NCAC on Wednesday as they travel to Oberlin for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
Davison is the third NCAC Athlete of the Week honoree for OWU in the 2026-27 academic year.
