ASHLAND and GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University men's track & field team was in action at two locations this weekend, competing at the Jud Logan Open on Friday and Saturday in Ashland as well as traveling to Denison for the Bob Shannon Invitational on Saturday.
AT BOB SHANNON INVITATIONAL
The Battling Bishops took third in the 12-team field, putting up 56 points.
In the 60 meter hurdles,
Michael Hess took fourth place after finishing with a time of 9.02.
Michael Strange took seventh with a 9.07. Hess took home five points, while Strange earned two.
Nate Snead finished third in the 60 meter dash, crossing the line with a time of 7.10 and recording six points.
In the 200 meter dash Snead shined once again, as he took the top spot by a time of 22.69, earning 10 points for the Bishops.
Austin Roberts took third in the weight throw, tossing 14.60 meters and earning six points.
Ayden Clary finished sixth with a throw of 13.76, tallying three points.
Clary recorded three more points for the Bishops in the shot put, as he recorded a 14.25 meter put to take seventh.
In the pole vault, Junior
Alex Bzdafka vaulted 4.40 meters to place second and earn eight points.
Mack Fincham vaulted 3.80 meters, good for sixth place and three points. Strange and
Daren Styer would tie for seventh place, splitting the three total points available for seventh and eighth at 1.5 apiece.
Tanner Sir Louis posted a mark of 6.15 meters in the long jump, securing seventh and adding two points to the team total.
In the triple jump,
Chinedu Melenu finished fourth and recorded five points after jumping 11.54 meters.
AT JUD LOGAN OPEN
Connor Smith finished fifth in the high jump after jumping 2.01 meters.
Siisi Seisie finished fourth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.20.

The Battling Bishops are back at Gordon Field House next Friday for the OWU Open.
