Bishops Concede Just One Game, Dominate Wittenberg for First Conference Win

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's tennis team continued conference play at Wittenberg on Saturday. The Battling Bishops would only give up one game all day, dominating the Tigers for a 7-0 sweep.

OWU improves to 7-3 on the season and earns their first NCAC win at 1-2.

The scorelines were easy to follow in this one, with all but one of the sets played resulting in 6-0 wins for the Bishops.

The doubles pairs of Mallory Hannan / Frankie Nuss and Lily Hershey / Marissa Zaleski won matches one and two with 6-0s. The Daniela Guzman / Emma Pzedpelski pair got a free pass.

Hannan, Nuss, and Pzedpelski secured 6-0, 6-0 shutouts in singles matches one, two, and three. Evaleigh Garrett took match four 6-1, 6-0. Hershey and Guzman got free passes in matches five and six.
