GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University men's track & field team traveled to Granville for the Denison Lid-Lifter on Saturday.
TRACK EVENTS
The Battling Bishops competed in just two track events due to colder weather, partaking in the 800-meter run and the 1500-meter run.
In the 800,
Jacob Blubaugh placed third after clocking a time of 1:59.63.
Lucas Weaver took sixth with a time of 2:01.92.
Perry Jackson was next, also finishing with a time of 2:01.92 to take seventh.
Aidan McNeill and Jacob Marzulli rounded out the top-10 with times of 2:03.31 and 2:03.68, respectively.
Jackson was the highest finisher in the 1500 at 12th with a time of 4:15.82. Marzulli,
Colby Sprague, and
Tyler Tang finished 18th, 23rd, and 24th respectively with times of 4:25.48, 4:32.86, and 4:34.53.
FIELD EVENTS
Peter Ortiz claimed sixth in the discus after a throw of 40.45 meters.
In the javelin,
Dominic Brown placed second with a toss of 49.93 meters.
Mack Fincham threw 41.20 meters, good for fourth.
Michael Strange rounded out the top five with a toss of 40.66 meters.
Ayden Clary secured third in the hammer after throwing 43.80 meters.
Austin Roberts finished fourth with a toss of 43.24 meters.
Andrew Bentz threw 42.67 meters, giving him fifth.
Ortiz and Clary took fifth and sixth in the shot put after throws of 13.65 meters and 13.53 meters, respectively.
In the pole jump,
Alex Bzdafka placed third after vaulting 4.29 meters. Fincham secured fifth with a vault of 3.84 meters.
