Gist, Journey, Knisley, Vanden Eynden Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. – College Sports Communicators released its 2026 Academic All-District selections for softball on Tuesday afternoon. Ohio Wesleyan University was represented on the Division III Academic All-District Team by senior Makenna Knisley, juniors Rylea Gist and Chameron Vanden Eynden, and sophomore Caity Journey.

It is the second Academic All-District selection for Gist and Vanden Eynden, and the first for Journey and Knisley. Gist is double-majoring in Environmental Science and Zoology with a minor in Chemistry. Journey is majoring in Exercise Science. Knisley recently graduated with a double-major in Zoology and Psychology and a minor in Environmental Science. Vanden Eynden is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Educational Studies.

In order to be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be of at least sophomore status and meet high academic and athletic standards, including maintaining a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.50 on a 4.00 scale.
