Women’s Soccer Selected Seventh in NCAC Preseason Poll

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) released its 2026 preseason coaches poll for women's soccer on Wednesday afternoon. The Ohio Wesleyan University women's soccer team was picked to finish seventh in the conference.

Denison took the top spot in the poll, holding 59 points and four first-place votes while narrowly beating out John Carroll with 54 points and four first-place votes. DePauw was third with 45 points, followed by Kenyon in fourth with 36 points.

Wittenberg and Wooster were fifth and sixth respectively with 33 and 31 points. The Battling Bishops had 21 points in seventh. Oberlin rounded out the table with nine points.

The Red and Black had an unlucky streak last season that featured nine ties, five of which came in conference play. OWU would finish seventh in the NCAC with a 0-2-5 record and end the season 3-6-9 overall.

The Bishops look to turn things around in the 2026 season, starting with the home season-opener against Transylvania on September 1 at 7 p.m. at Jay Martin Soccer Complex.
