GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University men's golf team opened the 2026-27 season at the Ted Barclay Invitational on Friday and Saturday, hosted by Denison at Denison Golf Club. The Battling Bishops finished 10th in the 14-team field with 607 strokes, shooting rounds of 303 and 304.

Nate Tripp and Ryan Ashby led the way, tying for 32nd overall with scores of 150. The pair shot identical first and second rounds with 77s on day one and 73s on day two. Ashby recorded two birdies overall and capped off his tournament with an eagle on hole 18 in round two. Tripp tallied five birdies, one in round one and four in round two.

Callahan Lawler came next, tying for 39th place with a score of 152. He was second on the team with a 75 in round one, dropping in two birdies. He had one birdie in round two and scored a 77.

Max Ahlswede placed 53rd in his debut on the collegiate course with a score of 156. He was the Bishops' leader in round one with a 74 featuring one birdie. He finished round two with an 82.

Gavin Clark rounded out the OWU lineup, tying for 73rd with a score of 161. He recorded an 80 in round one with one birdie, followed by an 81 in round two with two birdies.
