Ohio Wesleyan University senior Sarah Bechtel (Bellefontaine) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of April 7, it was announced by the NCAC.

Bechtel, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's track & field team, was named Women's Field Event Performer of the Week.

Bechtel won the pole vault in helping the Bishops take the team title at the annual Marv Frye Invitational on Saturday.  Bechtel cleared 12-1½ in the pole vault and added an eighth-place finish in the long jump.
