Ohio Wesleyan University senior Cara DeAngelis (Norton/Ellet) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of April 14, it was announced by the NCAC.

DeAngelis, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's track & field team, was named Women's Distance Runner of the Week.

DeAngelis won the 800- and 1500-meter runs in Saturday's All-Ohio Division III championship meet, helping Ohio Wesleyan to a second-place finish in the team standings.  Her time of 4:32.55 in the 1500-meter run is the best time in Division III so far this season and set an All-Ohio record.  She won the 800-meter run in 2:18.00.
